This is the first month that Glossybox has not got it right. I was contemplating not even doing a blog post on it but then I thought maybe I’d be able to stop someone from spending their money on April’s box.
Lord & Berry – Lipstick Pencil in Kiss (costs £10 in shops)
I was really excited when I heard that this was going to be in the box for April. But when I opened my box and saw the colour, I was gutted. What is this colour?! It’s the worst, brightest, most disgusting red/orange I’ve ever seen in my life. I decided to give it a try and hope that it didn’t look that bad on my lips – but it did. It looked worse than I had imagined. What’s really frustrating about this product is that it’s good! The formula is good! The application is good! But the colour is gross! So gutting.
IDC – Body Lotion in Lavender (costs £3.59 for 100ml)
Ermmmmm. Lavender body lotion? Why? The packaging looks cheap and I just have no interest in lavender body lotion whatsoever. Why Glossybox, why?
Color Club – Barely There Nail Polish (costs £4.10 in shops)
I’m not a big fan of the nude nail polish thing at the moment, however I will try this at some point. I’m interested to see what the formula of the polish is like and how long it lasts. Who knows, I may find a hidden love for nude nails.
Astral Orginial – Face and Body Moisturiser (costs £3.89 for 200ml)
I have heard a lot of people say this product is great. I’ve used it on my hands and so far I like it. However, I am slightly disappointed in the size of the tub Glossybox sent (50ml).
Pop Beauty – Kajal Eyeliner Pen (costs £6.95 in shops)
I gave this a test run and at first I was excited because it was so easy to apply. But after wearing it for approximately 10 minutes, it had almost disappeared already. I will try it again, but so far I’m not massively impressed.
Overall I feel that Glossybox were a bit stingy this month. The box was pretty but everything else was a flop. I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed that May’s box will make up for it.
