Spring is by far my favourite season, especially for nails. Some of you are reading this thinking I’m a total loser for choosing the colour of my nails according to the season, but it’s a thing! I promise it’s a thing! So if you’re interested in having cute nails for the duration of Spring, this post is just for you my friend…
Butter London – Trout Pout
This colour is my favourite at the moment. Everyone needs a coral for Spring (and Summer). Butter London is one of the best brands for nail polishes, although the quality unfortunately does come with a slight price tag. I think this will be my most worn polish for 2015.
Barry M, Gelly Hi-Shine – Huckleberry
For the price, Barry M is Amazing (note the capital A). This pastel blue is perfect with a slight tan and I promise it will go with the majority of your outfits. Off-whites are really in this season, and this whitey-blue is one of the most flattering white colours I’ve found. If that makes sense… Have I said white too much?
Essie – Mint Apple Candy
As you can see from the photo, this is one of my seriously used and seriously loved polishes. It’s one of my first ever Essie purchases and it has served me well. It’s time to get a new one because the old, gloopy formula is becoming too difficult to handle (it’s around 5/6 years old). This colour is and always has been cute for Spring. If you’re looking for something a bit different, but not too scary I’d definitely advise a mint green.
Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish – Lexington Gardens
I bought this a few months ago and the first thing I fell in love with was the formula. It’s so easy to apply and I’ve only ever needed one coat. This colour is bright and cheerful. The perfect purple.
Essie – Fiji
I can’t do a blog post about nail polishes without including Fiji. Fiji has been my best friend for years. This is actually my fourth bottle. Whenever I’m in doubt about what colour to wear, I go for Fiji. This colour goes with everything! It’s cute in Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. Fiji never fails. You need Fiji.
Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine – Blueberry
Yay for Barry M! This is another all-time favourite of mine, which gets compliments whenever I wear it. This bright blue looks good with a floral dress or even just jeans with a white top. It dresses up the most casual of outfits.
Essie – Flawless
If you’re anything like my mum, you prefer more neutral, safe colours on your nails. Essie’s Flawless nails that look. It’s a subtle yet noticeable pink. You cannot go wrong with this colour in your collection.
