I feel like I have tried so many new products this month – mainly because it was one of those months where I literally ran out of everything. With most things, I wanted to try more inexpensive options, hoping to get the same result whilst spending less money. I also went digging through my drawers to find products I’d barely even used (mainly from Glossyboxes) and see whether they were any good.
My first favourite is Falsies mascara by Maybelline (£7.99). My Charlotte Tilbury “Full Fat” mascara (£22) is slowly running out on me, so I knew I had to take action. Obviously I can’t afford another CT mascara, even though it’s by far the best one I’ve ever graced upon my lashes. So I went back to the start. I’ve always been a massive fan of Falsies mascara and to be totally honest, I forgot how good it is. I love the brush, the formula and the way it plumps lashes without clumping. It may not be CT but it certainly does the job.
Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit Cream Wash (£4) is my new best friend. I ran out of my previous facial wash (Angel’s on Bare Skin by Lush) a couple of weeks ago and even though it wasn’t that expensive, I was in the mood to try something new. I used to love Neutrogena’s Exfoliating Wash in the same scent, so I was almost 100% sure that I’d love this wash too. It’s so refreshing to use, especially on an early morning. My favourite part is definitely the smell – so good! It also does a great job of washing off any make-up and giving the face a really good, deep cleanse.
I received this POP Kajal Pen (£3.50) in my Glossybox a few months ago. Admittedly I threw it to the back of my make-up drawer without a second thought. At the time I was using a Charlotte Tilbury eye-liner, which I sadly lost in Corfu 🙁 Since I lost that, I’ve been struggling to find a good eye-liner. I gave this pen a go one morning and was pleasantly surprised. It’s so easy to apply, an inexpensive price and it stays! I don’t use the smudger side, unless I make a mistake and need to rub some of the colour off. I’ll happily be using this until it runs out.
This is another Glossybox product that I’ve recently dug out from the deep dark pits of my drawer. Keushi’s Anti Cellulite Booster (£14.55) is amazing. I can’t honesty say whether it makes a difference to cellulite because I haven’t used it long enough to see a difference. But it is an incredible moisturiser nonetheless. It has a soft and gentle smell, and the formula isn’t too thick/sticky that makes your skin feel as if you’ve drowned your body in oil. It moisturises, leaving the skin refreshed and shiny. I love it.
Essie’s Private Weekend (£7.99) has been my most loved nail polish the past few weeks. It’s such a perfect white. I have honestly looked far and wide for a white polish that looks good on my skin tone, as well as not being annoying to apply. This is the white polish that everyone needs. It’s thick, so easy to apply and looks incredible!
I cannot get over how amazing this body mist is. It’s Victoria’s Secret in Amber Romance. I mentioned it in a Friday Favourites blog post a few weeks ago, but I love it so much I had to write about it all over again. I have been using this daily and I’m constantly being asked what scent I have on. It’s one of those smells that isn’t too heavy, but is still smellable. Soft on the nose, if that’s a saying…? It’s fresh, fruity and floral. LOVE.
