I was given this book on Saturday and I was hooked after reading the first chapter. This is an autobiography of Lauren Scruggs. She’s in the fashion industry (she worked in the wardrobe of Gossip Girl), and now also a founder of her own magazine called Lolo Magazine.
In December of 2011 she was in an accident where she lost a hand and an eye. Having grown up with her looks meaning everything to her, she had to go on a journey of rebuilding her self-confidence and her faith in God’s plan. Her story is so inspiring.
I started reading it on Saturday and was too busy over the weekend to finish it, but my mind was constantly on the book. I haven’t read a book that had me this gripped for a very long time (big thank you to Heather who bought it for me!).
This book has inspired me in my own world – in my relationship with God, my friends, my future and in who I am. I really recommend every girl to read this – whether you’re a Christian or not, this book is an eye-opener.
Ps. I took the cover off of the book itself and it’s soo cute. It matches my room, yay!
