I have recently had to make a new rule for myself – finish reading the books I already own before buying new books. All of the following fall into this category:
Your Beautiful Heart – Lauren Scruggs
I am actually reading this at the moment. This is a great book for teenage girls (any of you Youth girls reading, get this right now!). I pre-ordered this whilst I was reading Lauren’s first book – Still Lolo. I completely forgot it was coming until I received the package a couple of weeks ago. Lauren discusses faith, self-image, love and friendship. What I love about it so far is how honest she is – she tells it straight from the heart.
The Penny – Joyce Meyer
This is actually my mum’s book. I stole it from her bookshelf after having my eye on it for a few years (yes, that long). Hearing Joyce Meyer at Colour Conference was incredible! She’s an incredibly admirable woman with faith like steel. She completely, totally, truly inspired me last week and I can’t wait to read this.
The Brightest Star In the Sky – Marian Keyes
Eeeeek, I don’t know when or how I got this book. It is actually possible that I’ve read it before. Regardless, it’s been sat on my bookshelf for a while now and it’s calling my name.
The Five Love Languages – Gary Chapman
So Bradley doesn’t know it yet but we’re going to be reading this bad boy together… (hehe). My friend mentioned this book last week and I recognised the name immediately. Of course, my mother has it (being deadly serious, she can open her own book shop). I don’t know if this is any good but it’ll be interesting to find out nonetheless. (Bet you can’t wait, babe!)
