All I need
Acts 4:34 – And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them.
Imagine being so filled with God, that you don’t have a need for anything or anyone else. A love for Him that is so big, all you need is Him. It’s a beautiful thing, but also one that can make you feel slightly guilty about all of the things you feel you do need to live a happy life – I know I have plenty.
What you need to know about this verse is that it follows a chapter where all of these people prayed to God. In their prayer they acknowledge God for how powerful He is and mention a few of the miracles He has performed.
Acts 4:29 – “Sovereign Lord, you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, David.”
Maybe all we need this morning is a revelation of who our God is. Our God is sovereign – seated high about any other. He is faithful. He is the creator of the universe and all that is within. He is powerful. He is wonderful.
Remind yourself of how far God has brought you, and then pray that He fills you with His grace. Have a revelation of all that He is so that you can praise Him, for He is all that you need.
