In our weakness
Romans 8:26 – In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
For me, prayer is a weakness. I know that plenty of other people feel the same way. Praying is difficult for many. In fact it’s so common that Paul has written about it – in our weakness. I believe that one of the main reasons as to why it’s so difficult is because it’s so important.
Prayer is important enough for the devil to see it as a threat. He knows that if he can limit your prayer life, he will also limit your whole life. He feeds us lies, telling us we’re not praying enough or well enough. He makes us question God’s silence, making us believe that we’re not faithful enough to receive a response.
Don’t allow yourself to listen to the devil’s lie.
The truth is that God is a God who listens and who cares. He hears every word, every thought and every feeling. And He sent His Holy Spirit to help us in our weakness. When we don’t know how to pray – what to say or what to do – the Spirit will speak for us. We just need to give the Spirit room in our lives. We need to make the room and make the time for God to breathe into our prayer lives.
