Romans 6:14 – For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
Grace is defined as the unmerited or undeserving favour of God to those who are under condemnation. So those who deserved to be judged, condemned and punished, have been set free through God’s power.
Are you living as if you are under grace? Do you know that His grace covers you?
Everything you have done wrong in the past is gone. Everything you will do wrong in the future is also gone. 2 Corinthians 5:12 says God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Some of us live with our past on our shoulders, a constant reminder of how we sinned. Sometimes the people in our lives constantly remind us. But you need to know who you are in Jesus Christ, the One who died to set you free. You need to start learning about grace and how it covers every aspect of who you are, were and will be.
Your past is no longer your master. The sin that’s still in your life right now is no longer your master. Jesus broke those chains a long, long time ago. So start living freely. Start noticing the grace that covers you. Start praising God for His undeserving, abounding and limitless grace.
