His name attached
1 Kings 10:1 – When the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon and his relationship to the Lord, she came to test Solomon with hard questions.
My mother in law gifted me with a book for my birthday. It’s called “It’s Good to Be Queen” by Liz Curtis Higgs. It’s a study on the Queen of Sheba in the Bible. I’m only a couple of pages in and I’m already hooked. The verse above is one of the first verses she quotes.
King Solomon was very famous in his time. He was a very good king, and everyone knew him because of his incredible wisdom and devotion to God. This one sentence in the Bible just shows how when people heard about him, they also heard about God.
Can we live our lives like that? With His name attached to who we are, what we do and everything we live for? So when people get to know us, they automatically get to know our God too. Let the way we live, magnify who He is. In order to do that, we need to be rooted in the Word and the Church. We need to know who He is and how He loves us. We need to have daily access to His promises over our lives and we need to spend time with Him as if He’s our greatest friend.
Give Him the room and the opportunity to breathe into your life every day so that everything you do is a perfect reflection of Him.
