Psalm 31:14-15 – But I trust in You, O Lord,
I say “You are my God.”
My times are in your hands.
By declaring Him as my God, I hand over my times. By placing my trust in Him, I place my times in His hands.
I remember praying for a boyfriend so many years ago and God saying not yet. He had a time in mind and He loved me enough to make me wait for that right time.
I think our faith is truly tested when God makes us wait for something. The waiting produces perseverance, which then helps strengthen our faith. It’s in the waiting period that God teaches us to lean on Him and His word in order to get by.
So don’t be discouraged if what you’re praying for hasn’t come to pass just yet. Perhaps it’s God’s way of drawing you closer to His faithfulness and His love.
He doesn’t keep us waiting in order to frustrate and annoy us – He does it because He sees good in making us wait.
So declare that He is your God – the One who you trust. Your times – every single one you’re praying for – is in His faithful, powerful and almighty hands. You don’t need to worry.
