A huge price
Isaiah 43:1-4 – “Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end— Because I am GOD, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior. I paid a huge price for you: all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in! That’s how much you mean to me! That’s how much I love you! I’d sell off the whole world to get you back, trade the creation just for you.”
I posted this verse on my Facebook page a couple of days ago, and I heard back from a few people who said that God really spoke to them through it. It’s such a beautiful verse, that declares God’s love, redemption and provision for us so perfectly. I actually get a bit emotional each time I read it.
Not only did He pay a huge price for Israel, but He paid it for the whole of creation through sacrificing His only son. I find it wonderfully beautiful that God paid that big of a price for us, just in case we choose to live for Him. He paid it over two thousand years ago, yet still to this day He continues to declare His great love for us through answering our prayers, performing miracles and His faithful whispers to our hearts.
Read this verse a couple of times and let it sink deep into your heart. Declare His love over your life.
