A Psalm 15 kind of person
Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbour,
and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
but honours those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken.
I don’t know about you, but I’d love to be known as unshakeable. Reading this chapter yesterday made me excited for the future. It inspired me to better myself. I believe that all of these things are achievable when you put your mind to it (and a few prayers to back you up, of course). To make it all easier to digest, I decided to break the whole verse down into bitesize chunks, creating a recipe for how to become a Psalm 15 kind of person – someone unshakeable in God’s love.
A Psalm 15 kind of person is;
blameless in all that they do,
keen to live in a Godly manner,
wise and discerning,
does what they say they are going to do,
and generous in their giving to others.
Beautiful, right? I have these written down in my journal, ready to refer back to when I’m in need of a gentle reminder of all that God wants me to become for His glory.
