Isaiah 53:5 – But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Have you ever gone through something in life and thought oh, no one will understand. It’s the best way to kick off a pity party. Keeping your problems yours because of a lack of people who will truly understand and empathize with your situation.
I love how in 1 Peter, it says to cast your anxiety on Him, because out of everyone He will understand. He went through it all – in all His godliness and perfection, He still had to endure temptations, attacks and the worst of betrayals. He was hurt and killed for people who didn’t even acknowledge Him.
He endured the worst kind of pain, so I ensure you that He will understand yours too. He will guide you through healing wounds, the beauty in forgiveness and the art of pouring out grace.
Through His wounds we were set free, and I believe that He can set us free from our own wounds too.
