The greatest Author
Ecclesiastes 11:5 – As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
I’m currently writing a novel. I go through days of drought, as I like to call it, when I completely fail to write any words whatsoever. My creativity levels barely exist and my frustration levels are sky-high. On these days my writing tutor advises me to read books that I love – ones similar to the one I aspire to write. At the moment I’m madly in love with Karen Kingsbury’s novels. She has written over twenty books. Each book I finish I sit in awe, confused in wondering how she does it. How on earth does she have so many beautiful, gripping stories to write?!
It then led me to thinking about the Maker of all things, as this verse describes Him. How many stories has God so faithfully written? All of the millions of people who are on earth today and those who have passed before us – He was the author of all their stories. He created them, breathed life into them and had a plan for each and every one. Including you.
Of all the authors, He inspires me the most. He’s a faithful author – one Whom we can trust in the writing of each of our stories.
