New every morning
Lamentations 3:22-24 – God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God. He’s all I’ve got left.
His merciful love can’t dry up – they’re new every morning.
The definition of mercy: forgiveness and/or compassion shown to someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.
That means that as you woke up this morning, the slate has been wiped clean. His love is the same as it always has been – regardless of who you are and what you have done. His compassion for you is new this morning. His forgiveness for you is new this morning. His loyal love for you is new this morning.
I picture Him standing at the doors of our hearts, inviting us to start a brand new day with Him. I imagine Him standing there with a big smile, excited for our future in Him. He doesn’t look back at what you did last week, instead He looks toward your future with Him, your eternity together.
So this morning, I encourage you to let go of your past mistakes, wrong-thoughts and failures. Let go of them, and take Jesus’ hand today. Let Him pour His loyal, merciful love straight into your heart and let Him own your day.
