Isaiah 43:1 – “Do not be afraid, for I have summoned you. I have called you by name; you are mine.”
This week I had the pleasure of joining Bradley on one of his work trips to Bangkok. I was very fortunately upgraded to business class, where I was made to feel a princess for the entire flight. Something that I noticed pretty much straight away was that everyone who was sat in business class was known by name. The crew knew everyone’s name and called them by their names as they were serving them. A totally different world from economy class!
There’s an added value, something really special about someone knowing your name. It makes you feel more appreciated.
God calls you by your name. He knew your name before your parents even existed. He calls you by your name daily, with a soft, gently voice. He doesn’t care what class you fly in. He doesn’t care about your social status or what job you have. He doesn’t care about your GCSE grades or how much you’ve achieved in x amount of years.
He calls you by your name because you are His, and will always be His. He calls you, waiting for your answer.
