He bends down to listen
Psalm 116:2 – Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.
Reading this verse, I see a picture of a Father bending down to hear the whisper cries of His children. I see Him listening intently without interrupting. I see Him with an expression of complete compassion but not of concern, because He knows His plans. He understands and feels the pain and the struggle, but He isn’t worried.
Today I want to challenge you to write down a prayer to Him. Pour out the entire contents of your heart – from the smallest concern to your biggest desires. Speak them out in the open and feel His presence as He bends down to listen to you. I do this often when I’m feeling overwhelmed or stressed out, and the peace that fills me compares to nothing else.
He listens, friends! He cares enough to listen to every little thing you take the time to pray about. He has compassion and He understands. Nothing is too big and nothing is too small for our Father in Heaven.
Speak to Him, because He listens and He will respond.
