Your plans are in place
Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
I bought a new diary yesterday. You’re probably wondering why I bought a new diary in the middle of July. Well, let’s just say my “new year, new me” has only just kicked in, so I found it necessary to buy myself a new diary (plus it was only a fiver). I can’t be the only one as shops are finding the need to sell August-July diaries. I spent last night flicking through my new and very cute diary, filling in any plans I know I already have and can’t forget about. It made me think of this infamous verse…
I imagine God sitting at His big, gold incrusted (He’s God, so why not?) desk, flicking through His Mieke diary even before I was born. I picture Him looking at each and every day with such immaculate detail, planning even the smallest of details. On the days He knows will be difficult for me, He sheds a tear, already knowing the tears I will be crying. On the bigger and happier days, He smiles knowingly – already aware of just how much joy my heart will be filled with.
Do you see Him filling your life-diary with His plans? Can you imagine Him taking time to write your story, filled with His prosperous plans that will give you a hope and a glorious future?
Your plans are in place, my friend. The God that is so overwhelmingly in love with you, knows exactly what plans He has for you. He knows every little detail and He’s there every step of the way. He doesn’t miss one day, one event or even one second of your life.
