A clear vision
2 Corinthians 4:4 – The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
“The god of this age” that Paul is talking about in this verse is satan. His scheme is to steal the identity the God has given us. I think the word blinded is so key here. I myself sometimes struggle with knowing exactly who I am in Christ.
I forget that He made me in His image. That He spent time and effort in making me just the way I am. I forget that because I’m His, I don’t have to fear the future and question where I’m heading. I forget that I don’t need to worry about being alone because He is always with me.
All of these worries, fears and anxieties creep out when we don’t know and don’t understand the light of the gospel. We need to pray against satan blinding us from who Christ really is and who we are in Him. We need to pray for our friends and family, that they can see clearly too. Don’t become blinded from the Truth.
A clear vision of who God is and who we are in Him, is the key to a future that shines bright for him.
