He is praying for us
John 17:20 – “My prayer is not for them (the disciples) alone, I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe you have sent me. “
If you heard Jesus praying for you in the next room, how would that change your perspective on everything? Would your faith grow? Would your hope in a specific situation or a certain someone change? Would you feel more peace if you heard the very words you have been praying for come out of His lips?
This verse is just one example of how Jesus prays for us. He is a gracious God, who is filled with such deep love and adoration for every single one of us, that He desperately prays for us. He wants us to be with Him in eternity.
Know today that Jesus is praying for you and for the people in your world. You may not be able to hear the words He’s praying, but know that distance makes no difference. He’s sat next to our Father on their Heavenly thrones, praying for each of us. Let that fill you with hope, faith and the utmost peace.
