Jesus on Display
1 Corinthians 10:23-24 – “I have the right to do anything”, you say – but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything” – but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
1 Corinthians 10:31 – So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
As a follower of Christ, it’s easy to ask the question “if I’m saved and all my sins are forgiven, surely I can do anything I want?”
But as followers of Christ, we carry a responsibility. Essentially, we are the walking-adverts for Jesus. We need to be ambassadors to the rest of the world – shining examples of God’s grace and His glory. We need to be the ones who show that living and growing in Christ, means that we can strive to become more like Him every day. We need to show who He is through our daily lives. Putting His faithful love, servant heart, and forgiveness on display.
