Thankful for closed doors
Proverbs 16:9 – “in their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps”
John 13:7 – Jesus replied, “You do not realise now what I am doing, but later you will understand”
Sometimes what we think is the best plan, is not what God has in store for our lives. One of the hardest things that I’ve had to face in my walk with God is realising that when things don’t go to plan, He has a reason behind it. That job you didn’t get, that person who walked away, whatever the failure or rejection is, God still has a plan and a purpose. Even if it doesn’t make sense to you, you need to walk in faith trusting that God knows what He’s doing.
Don’t force a single thing. God says yes and no for reasons that only He can understand. Sometimes you need to thank God for what didn’t happen. Thank Him for the things He’s stopped that you knew nothing about. Trust Him when He closes a door.
