Mark 5:36 – Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
A man had just heard the news that his daughter died. The men who told him, said that it’s over, don’t bother Jesus any longer.
What is it in your life that seems over? Are there people in your world who’s telling you to just give up now, because reality says it will never happen? Are you at a dead-end? Are you ripping out what you planted in faith?
I wanted to keep today’s devotional plain and simple. I think that one short verse is a word for someone today. Whatever it is in your life that seems dead, is about to come back to life – all you need to do is believe. Jesus wants you to be fearless in your faith. He wants you to walk boldly, believing that He is about to perform a miracle in your life. He doesn’t want you mourning the loss, He wants you to be expecting the revival. He knows what you need today, tomorrow and forever more. He knows your past and your future.
He has a time for everything and everyone. Don’t be afraid, just believe!
Our relationship with Jesus is based on faith. Faith is believing in what you can’t see. You need to believe in the miracle you don’t yet see. You need to believe that He is greater and His love for you is big enough to resurrect whatever needs resurrecting.
