I’ve spent this week catching up with my blog, my book and basically just chilling. After quite a busy month, I’ve needed a bit of Mieke-time. Here are a few of my favourite things from this week. I hope you enjoy.
“I don’t want my life to be explainable without the Holy Spirit. I want people to look at my life and know that I couldn’t be doing this by my own power. I want to live in such a way that I am desperate for Him to come through. That if He doesn’t come through, I am screwed. (I probably shouldn’t write that word here, but it’s how I truly feel about this.)”
I am a massive fan of Francis Chan – he is the definition of wise. This quote is one of my favourites from his book, Forgotten God.
I don’t like coffee, but I do love coffee dates. I normally order tea or a chai-latte, but I prefer the company more than the beverage. My mum and I have a coffee date (unintentionally) once a week. It’s the perfect catch-up.
DKNY – Be Delicious
Yay! I finally got a new perfume. I’ve been umm-ing and ahh-ing for the past month or two, wondering what my new smell should be. I used Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs before, but I felt the need for something new. I decided to go for DKNY, for its fresh and summery scent. Yay for Summer.
Let’s Go Rocket
Do you remember Flappy Bird?! This is the new Flappy Bird, but slightly less frustrating. It’s still frustrating though, don’t get me wrong. So far my highscore is 7… But I can see myself improving.
Little Hopey Clarke‘s Blog!
Meet Hope. I have the honour of being this beautiful girl’s youth leader. Not only is she stunning, but she has a heart the size of the universe. She’s confident, intelligent and funny. As well as Hope herself being one of my Friday Favourites, her blog also takes a spot this week. You’re a star, Hope – keep writing!
