Bad days are the worst and they shouldn’t exist. Here’s a recipe of how to turn your bad day into a good day!
1) Do Something For Yourself
Whether it’s painting your nails, reading a chapter of your favourite book or simply watching an episode of Friends. Do something that you like to do. Forget how stressed you are and everything you still need to do. Take a half-hour time out.
2) Do Something For Someone Else
Text a friend something encouraging. If you don’t know what, feel free to use this template – “Hey (insert name), you’re the best and I’m so glad I get to do life with you. Keep doing you, friend”. You’ll make someone else happy, which normally makes you happy in return.
3) Tidy Up
I live by the motto messy room, messy life. Just tidying the mess your surrounded by can help clear your mind and breathe a little easier…
4) Listen To A Song That Makes You Happy
Dance around for a few moments. Release your inner dancer. This one helped me today – Touch The Sky by Hillsong United.
5) Let God Take Care Of You
I find that in our bad days we forget to talk to God. We usually get so wound up in self-pity that we forget that our Faithful Friend is with us. He’s with us in our bad days. Pray that He gives you favour and peace for the rest of your day. He’s good at stuff like that.
6) Carry On With The Rest Of Your Day Knowing That You’re Great
God made you you for a reason. He put you where you are for a reason. Go conquer your day and show everyone that you’re pretty amazing – no bad day can get you down.
