I’ve had a fairly unproductive day today. My laptop has been propped open, my notebook and pen ready to be filled with several blog post ideas and my mug has been refilled with tea more times than is probably healthy. And now it’s 3:37pm and I still don’t have a blog post written.
So I have decided to face the facts and come to terms with the fact that today’s “super creative blog post” is just not going to happen. Therefore, I thought we could just chat. For some reason I have made this rule for myself, where I think that every blog post must fit into some imaginary guideline and be based on a specific topic, which makes days like today (where the lack of creativity is super evident) really hard. So today’s specific topic is unproductivity. Is that a word? It’s coming up with a squiggly red line underneath it. I’ll google it. Yes, it’s a word.
I’m currently munching on some salt & vinegar Chipsticks. Bradley bought a massive bag of them last night and they’ve been staring at me ever since, so I had no choice but to cave in and indulge. I’m going to explain my wedding diet to him later tonight though, don’t worry – it’s on my list of things to do.
I suppose I could tell you what’s new. Bradley has sort of moved into the guest room of my parents home. He’s waiting to start his new job at British Airways (it’s taking longer than planned. Eight months longer, in fact). It’s been fun having him around though. We’ve created a little office for ourselves in my mum’s living room. The dining room table is covered in all of my books, Bradley’s pieces of paper, chocolate oranges, Chipstick wrappers and both of our laptops. On our free days, I sit and write blog things and he sits and prepares church things for youth. We occasionally stop what we’re doing to watch a funny video or debate who’s turn it is to refill the tea mugs. It’s cute.
It will be even cuter when we’re married and move into our own little house, hopefully in/near Oxford. At the moment that’s all I’ve been day dreaming about. The plan is to get a kitten and we’ll name her Princess Peach.
But we still have several months before all of that is happening. The next big thing is for Bradley to start flying. I’m so excited for him – especially for when he flies to America. I have a long list of candles and hand sanitizers I want from Bath & Body Works.
Talking about shopping, I attempted to do some online-eye-shopping earlier. It didn’t go very well. I shouldn’t have aimed so high. I thought “ooh let’s have a look at Charlotte Tilbury’s Christmas gift sets”. And oh my, they were magical but the prices were somewhat depressing. So after around half an hour of sulking whilst scrolling, I knew I had to just face the facts and press the little red x in the corner and carry on with my life.
Anyway, it was great chatting with you. Sorry for the weird blog post. Let me know if you hate chatting and I’ll make sure I never do this again.
Lots of love,
