If you’ve been following my blog at all, you’ll know that I love writing my “Friday Favourites” every week. For the past couple of Fridays, I haven’t managed to upload any posts, so I thought that I’d squeeze them all into one big post.
Okay my first favourite for this month has to be my new Nike Trainers.
Bradley has tried to persuade me to get a pair of these for ages. I loved the idea of them, but was convinced that they wouldn’t suit me and my style at all. We were in Sports Direct, and saw these bad boys at half-price so I tried them on for fun. To be totally honest, I think I’m more in love with their comfort than how they look (although they do look great too). They were a total life saver at Encounter, where I was on my feet all day long. AND, they go with everything! Thanks Bradley, for being so persistent with these… I really love them, I do I do I do.
I have also been loving this book – The One by Carlos Darby.
I’ve never owned a book like this one before. It’s big, bold and super visual. Filled with incredible photography throughout, it explains Jesus and Christianity in such a clear, detailed yet relatable way. For anyone who doesn’t really like reading but you do actually want to read, I would 100% recommend this.
Midnight Plum by Maybelline has been my well-loved lipstick of the month.
It looks scary, but I promise it’s not that scary. It’s a plum colour (duh), that you can apply and build up to how dark you really want the shade to look. It’s perfect for the Autumnal/Winter season, just to add a little something extra to whatever you’re wearing without going totally all out with the darkest lipstick ever.
SO many of my friends will be pleased to hear that I’ve finally started using Pinterest.
Ever since the engagement, everyone has told me that the best way to plan a wedding and find new ideas is through Pinterest. I’m not going to lie, it took me a while to get into the swing of it. I’m usually quite good with all things Social Media, but Pinterest is confusing! After numerous efforts, I think I understand it now and it’s safe to say that I’m slightly addicted and I have way too many ideas for my wedding…
And last but not least, I received these calligraphy prints in the post last week and I’m totally in love…
My beautiful friend, Patreese made these and they are perfect. I bought two prints, but Patreese slipped in another one (I hope she knows this otherwise this is awkward). I’m going to frame all three and hang them above my dressing table in my room.
If you want to see what she does / you are interested in buying some for yourself, here’s the link to her Etsy shop.
