I haven’t been feeling great for the past few days. 99% of me wanted to stay in bed and pretend that today didn’t exist. However I had promised myself (and you) to start my Illustrated Faith today, so I managed to peel myself out of bed and try my best to be creative. Little did I know how therapeutic this would be?! I genuinely loved every second.
I focused on this scripture today:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
When we invite God into our hearts, he sows seeds. He sows a seed of patience, peace, faithfulness, goodness, joy, forbearance, gentleness and and of self-control.
I feel that we have the choice as to whether we want to water these seeds or not. In order for these seeds to grow, and become fruit, we need to be placed into a situation where we can use them. It’s only when we’re made to wait that we learn patience. It’s only when we’re in the middle of the storm that we have to embrace peace and faithfulness.
So what I want to encourage you with today is that when these trials come along, embrace them, learn from them and overcome them. Water the seeds that God has planted in you. Don’t be afraid to grow and become exactly who God wants you to be.
