I’m really excited about this Wedding Wednesday (it’s the last of the ‘meet the bridesmaids’ 🙁 ). It’s long-overdue for you to meet one of my best friends, Tash.
We actually have my blog to thank for our friendship, although I’m sure we would have found our way to one another eventually. Around a month into blogging, Tash sent me a Facebook message. It was a message of pure encouragement. We had never spoken before, only known of each other through mutual friends.
From that moment onward I really, really wanted to be her friend. It’s rare that somebody who doesn’t even know you steps out to encourage you in what you’re doing. Those couple of sentences in that Facebook message (even though we joke about it a lot) truly meant a lot to me.
Since that day, I’d say that Tash has become one of my biggest encouragers, especially in my faith. She’s that person who doesn’t just ask how you are, but really wants to know. She doesn’t just settle with the platonic ‘I’m fine thank you, how are you?’. She digs deeper, and she really listens. She remembers the small details, and celebrates even the littlest of achievements. She’s a consistent, true and genuine friend with the biggest heart for people.
What I love the most about Tash, is her sense of humour. This is a bold statement I’m about to make, but Tash Nama is possibly one of the funniest people I know. After a couple of hours spent with her, my cheeks are always left aching from too much laughter. If I’m ever in need of serious cheering up, Tash is the first person that pops to my mind.
Tash isn’t just one of my best friends, she’s my sister in Christ. She walked into my life in the beginning of 2015 with a smile on her face and a heart filled to the brim with nothing but joy, laughter and love. And that’s why she is one of my bridesmaids.
Love you, Biff!
